Popis: A study of elongation characteristics, surface roughness, and normal contact stresses in the consolidation rolling of sintered iron and copper strips has shown that, at small thicknesses and low porosities of sintered material (h0 0.9), use should be made of surface-active processing lubricants of medium or high viscosity (such as KTIOL-5, -7, or -15), but where a good surface finish is desired the best results are obtained with SK-2 lubricant. At larger thicknesses and higher porosities (h0 > 1 mm and ⊖ < 0.9), such lubricants have deleterious effects.
