Popis:	I am concerned with the opposite of diffusion, i.e., the patterns and processes that describe the contraction or disappearance of phenomena. Using change over time in the proportion of farms that do not have milk cows as a medium of investigation, I present evidence that the logistic curve provides a good temporal, non-spatial model of the data and that a periphery-to-core contraction model is significant in describing the spatial pattern.
