| Popis: | An attempt to form a general idea about the current state of the conceptual field in which the typology of separatism is carried out is made in article. The foundation of the theoretical and methodological consideration of the problem is based on substantive and functional approaches.The essence and practice of using of basic concepts, in particular such terms as «type», «typology» and «typologization» are revealed.It is shown that the notion «type», which outlines the contours of the entire matrix of the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the typological method of cognition of a phenomenon, which carries simultaneously both a substantial and functional beginning, is fundamental.In the substantial dimension, the type of separatism is a specific entity (pattern, model) endowed with essential attributes, particularities, characteristics and properties.From a functional point of view, the type of separatism is used as a methodological tool for analyzing the phenomenon itself, and also used as an analytical tool for finding out, explaining or predicting the development of socio-political processes, the functioning of state and social institutions, the state of national, regional and international security, etc.The structural framework of the conceptual and terminological apparatus is complemented by the notions of «typology» and «typologization», the first of which contains in itself, essentially, the substantial load, and the second – the functional one.The typology of separatism in the substantial dimension is understood primarily as a collection, list or system of certain types of it. If it is necessary to reveal the functional side of typology, that is, to reflect the typological method, modus or means, the term «typology» is mostly replaced by the term «typologization».The directions of further scientific research of the mentioned problems are suggested, in particular, by elucidating the place, role and cognitive abilities of other notions of the typological method of cognition, such as «ideal type», «classificatory typology», «conceptual typology», «descriptive typology», «empirical typologization», «theoretical typologization», «typification», «typological analysis», «typological syndrome», «type-forming feature», along with consideration of the essence and practice of using of terms «typical» (in two meanings: «unique» and «standard»), «typological» and «typing», ignored, given the volume of the article. |
