Popis: Nowadays, the air conditioner has became an increasingly efficient cooling mechanism, moreover, it has benefits such as: internal temperature control and humidity regulation. So, it provides a purer air and comfort for people. Therefore, its use is growing in residences, as well as industries and commerces. The large scale use of this equipment has taken alarming proportions about energy consumption and the environmental impacts caused in the near future. With this in mind, the main objective of this work is to develop a prototype that automatically controls the existing air refrigerators in the market, making them more intelligent and efficient, instead just replacing them for more modern ones. For this purpose, a case study was carried out, comparing the behavior of the air conditioning with and without the use of the prototype. It was observed that during the tests, the system presented stability improvements on temperature control, lower energy consumption, what can help to an increase in the useful life of the equipment.
