Popis: | After each noteworthy river flood, bed material cleaning out is often required by riparian residents. These requests are more pressing on the rivers with high bed load transport, where this parameter is clearly perceived as dominating towards the flood risk by all the ones who live aside the river. Nevertheless, the 1992's french water act, through the water management master plans (SDAGE), brings up the sediment motion as a major functioning component of the hydrosystems. As the management of floods, of hydrosystem's water resources and quality, - a general watershed-scale reflection about the bed load transport and continuity is imperative to meet a compromise between these sometimes contradictory expectations. |
