Popis:	The four northernmost local sections of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists welcome you to our conference on the theme, “Exploration Geophysics-Today and Tomorrow.” This conference has been set up as a regional meeting of the SEG but it is quite different, in a number of ways, from other regional meetings that the Society has sponsored. Each of the papers you will hear today is devoted to a selected aspect of a central theme. The authors of these papers have been invited to participate in our program because of their universally recognized competence in the fields they are to discuss. We are greatly indebted to these distinguished speakers for having accepted our invitations.
