Popis: | The American College of Radiology has been in existence for nine years, a period which has been of great importance in the development of this specialty. Progress in radiology has been so rapid that it is well for us to pause long enough to examine our present condition and to consider means for consolidating the gains we have made. Since 1923, the year in which the College was organized, there have been several notable contributions to the art of radiology. One of the most important was the discovery and perfection of a method of cholecystography. The original communication on this subject by Graham, Cole, and Copher was published in 1924. It is now a routine method of examination and its value and limitations are practically established. More recently a new method of pyelography has been developed by means of the intravenous injection of an opaque salt which is excreted by the kidneys.
