Global energy demand is currently recorded to have increased 3 times since 1950 and its use is estimated to have reached 10,000 million tons per year. Most of that energy is produced from non-renewable materials such as coal, gas, petroleum, and nuclear energy. Among these materials, petroleum is the main source of the most critical energy. The availability of petroleum is dwindling. The alternative energy sources is one solution, one of the alternative energy source is utilizing solar energy. The solar cell is an electrical device that converts solar energy into electrical energy. The availability of solar energy is not continuous, hybrid systems are important for the availability of electrical energy, such as between solar cells and the state electricity company (PLN) for the energy source. In this research, the design of hybrid solar cell and solar electricity systems will be made by using the Arduino control system. This result suggests that the hybrid system is still with regulations of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources by at least 20% of the generating capacity using electricity from PLN |
