Popis: | The reaction between Mo 2 (i-Bu) 2 (NMe 2 ) 4 and excess 2-propanol in hexane yields the mixed alkoxide/alcoholate Moz(O-i-Pr) 4 (HO-i-Pr) 4 (1) by way of amide for alkoxide exchange (alcoholysis) and reductive elimination of isobutane and isobutylene. A similar reaction involving cyclopentanol gives Mo 2 (O-c-Pen) 4 (HO-c-Pen) 4 (2). The reaction between Mo 2 (i-Bu) 2 (NMe 2 ) 4 and 4 equiv of neopentanol in hexane yields the dimethylamine adduct Mo 2 (OCH 2 -t-Bu) 4 (HNMe 2 ) 4 (3). Compounds 1-3 have been crystallographically characterized, and in each compound there is a Mo-Mo quadruple bond supported by four alkoxide ligands and four ligands |
