Popis: | Diamonds synthesised in transition metal solvent-catalyst systems contain submicroscopic inclusions of the metallic matrix. A combination of rotational hysteresis measurements and 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy over temperatures up to 900K can provide information about the chemical nature and size distribution of the inclusions from their superparamagnetic behaviour, and also about the shape and stress anisotropy of the particles. |
