The subject of the graduate qualification work is âBIM technologies in Digital Asset managementâ. The given work is devoted to studying the ways of monitoring of the condition of construction objects especially the ones that was constructed before appearance of BIM technologies (before 1990), on the phases of renovation, operation and maintenance using the digital asset. The research set the following goals: 1. Studying features of digital asset applying to the renovation purposes. 2. Development and validation of algorithms for creating a digital asset for existing building based on the results of the laser scanning. 3. Creation of BIM technologies methodology for digital asset management The work was fulfilled on the premises of buildings during the reconstruction proceses. The analysis of the building condition was conducted by laser scanning technology and its further processing. Laser scanning was carried out at all stages of repair work. The study resulted into new approach to laser scanning data collecting and processing in order to obtain digital representation of the existing object. There was developed methodology that includes several steps during the data collecting processes with an aim to obtain the high quality accurate data and also several steps in data processing processes for getting the accurate model with all necessary characteristics. The outcome of the research is the decision that digital asset obtained with laser scanning technology could be used in renovation, operation and maintenance phases of life cycle of object. |
