Theoretical analysis of the possibility of controlling the solidification conditions in a continuously cast ingot

Popis:	It is shown that the solidification conditions in an entire continuously cast ingot cannot be controlled by varying the thermal conditions of cooling the ingot surface. The methods that can intensify the heat transfer in the solidifying melt should be applied in the most problematic axial zone of the ingot.
