The purpose of this scoping review is to: 1) summarize the available literature linking autonomic function and exercise intolerance testing, and 2) examine the relationship between exercise intolerance testing and autonomic dysfunction in people within a year of concussion or mTBI. A search for existing protocols and reviews was conducted by a health sciences librarian on May 24, 2021 in the following databases: PubMed (pubmed.gov), PROSPERO (https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO/), Open Science Framework (osf.io) and Epistemonikos (epistemonikos.org). After reviewing results, the team determined our review would be contributing new knowledge. |
