Popis: | The formation of a charge-transfer complex between tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) and hexamethylbenzene (HMB) in isotactic polypropylene (PP) has been studied by using UV-VIS spectroscopy. The effective equilibrium constant of complex formation K e increases with the concentration of TCNE or HMB in the polymer. Hexadecane affects the K e in PP, while it has no influence on the complex in solution. The theory of non-uniform additives distribution in the polymer medium and the reactivity are discussed. |
