Popis: Autologous tenocyte implantation (ATI) is indicated for chronic severe lateral epicondylitis (LE) in patients who have previously undergone unsuccessful nonsurgical treatment. ATI is a two-stage procedure that involves initial patellar tendon biopsy followed by a single injection of cultured autologous tenocytes to the LE lesion under ultrasound guidance. ATI is a safe and well-tolerated procedure for LE. Patients who have undergone ATI show a marked decrease in local pain, with increases in strength and overall function 1 year after treatment, which is maintained into the midterm.
