Popis: | This paper studies the matters of effective work of high power electric arc furnaces: the case of EAF-180 PJSC “Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works”. The paper includes the EAF-180 brief description and evidence that the operation specificity leads to significant problems of electromagnetic compatibility with the power supply net. And also the analysis of the low efficiency reasons of electrical regimes control is carried out; the new control methods are proposed based on the rapid secondary voltage control of the furnace transformer. |
