Popis: | JCTCV:21(3) Arterial aneurysms are less frequent than venous involvement in patients with Behçet disease. The most frequent location of these aneurysms is the abdominal aorta. After surgical repair, the recurrence of aneurysms, anastomotic pseudo-aneurysms, and fistula between prosthetic bypass and the duodenum are considered severe complications. Here we report the case of a 54-year-old patient with Behçet disease, who underwent surgery for abdominal aortic aneurysm 1 year previously, and who was admitted to the emergency unit for hematemesis. Fibroscopy confirmed a fistula between the prosthetic bypass and the duodenum. The patient underwent surgical resection of the prosthesis, which was infected, anastomosis of the duodenum, and revascularization by an axillo-bifemoral bypass. In the postoperative period, the patient died secondary to a septic shock. |
