Popis:	This article demonstrates how the study of the health care systems in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan contributes to the analysis of the “productivist welfare capitalism” thesis. It focuses on examining the validity of the arguments derived from the discussions of this thesis. The examination is based on different sources of empirical evidence, namely the population health outcomes of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea and the data provided by a health care typology that covers these three tiger economies and 14 OECD countries.
