Popis: | The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are playing an important role in the economic development of India, contributing 8 per cent to the GDP, 45 per cent to the total output and 40 per cent to the exports. The sector provides employment to 600 lakh persons. It has to face several challenges in respect of technology and market competitions in the context of globalisation and liberalisation of the Indian economy. To overcome the problems like marketing, finance, skilled labour and infrastructure, the Government of India has been taking measures for its growth and development since 2006. In this paper, the growth and development of MSMEs in India is examined. |
