Popis: | In the mid-1940s the U.S. government felt so alarmed about Juan D. Peron's rise that they intervened in an effort to stop him. One form of intervention was the publication of a dossier called the Blue Book, on sympathizers with Nazism and Judeophobia in Argentina, alleging that Peron headed this current. Though North Americans earnestly sought British corroboration of their views, London had such strong reservations that they held back, making this one of the weakest points in the Anglo-U.S. alliance. |
