Popis: The trigatron spark gap was first described by Craggs et al., (1946). Since that time, the device has found wide application as a demand triggered, high voltage switch. In separate applications, trigatrons have been used to switch voltages ranging between several kV (Craggs et al., 1946, Wilkinson, 1946) and several MV (Broadbent, 1957; Broadbent and Shlash, 1963, Markins, 1971).
