Popis:	Elbeenus lauramartinae, a new genus and species of the soft coral family Alcyoniidae from deep ( 159 m) water off Palau is described. The lobed colonies bear a resemblance to some species of Sirwlaria or Klyxum, but unlike these genera the coenenchymal sclerites consist of large interior spindles only. Colonies have very large polyps armed with large collaret and points sclerites that are characteristic of some species of the Nephtheidae and Nidaliidae.
