Popis: Fred Rose, author of Coalitions Across the Class Divide, explores the dynamics of emerging partnerships between labor and environmental groups. His article begins with a theoretical model that reminds us that any coalition mix involves multiple possibilities. Labor may partner with community groups, but either may also build ties to employers at the expense of the other. Then Rose uses a wealth of examples to explore the forces promoting labor-environmental coalitions as well as the difficulties that keep the two sides apart.
