Popis: The article presents a review of the literature on eye damage in Crohn’s disease and an analysis of the observation of a patient with exophthalmos and keratouveitis of the right eye against the background of this pathology. Self- cancellation of long-term basic therapy by the patient and irregular monitoring by a gastroenterologist lead to an exacerbation (attack) of Crohn’s disease and can lead to the development of extraintestinal manifestations (in the presented clinical case, a severe ophthalmic disease). Lack of patient compliance, failure to inform related specialists about the full history of the disease leads to long-term treatment by an ophthalmologist, does not provide a stable improvement in eye pathology (exophthalmos, keratouveitis) and is complicated by corneal perforation and blindness without treatment of the underlying disease (Crohn’s disease).
