Popis: A function generator has been designed and constructed which provides the waveforms required for most controlled-potential and controlled-current electroanalytical experiments. Additional features of the function generator include: 1) independently controlled anodic and cathodic potential steps for chronoamperometric experiments; 2) symmetric or asymmetric current programing for current reversal chronopotentiometric studies; 3) a timing circuit for the control of chronoamperometric and chronopotentiometric experiments; 4) anodic and cathodic voltage limit detectors for automatic reversal of the direction of the electrochemical experiment in cyclic voltammetric and chronopotentiometric studies; 5) electronic switching of all signal generators; and 6) a counting circuit which terminates the experiment after a predetermined number of half cycles has been completed and which then resets the instrument to a prescribed set of initial conditions.
