Popis: | The floral essential oil of Randia matudae Lorence & Dwyer (Rubiaceae) from Monteverde, Costa Rica, was isolated by hydrodistillation in a yield of 0.0243%. The chemical composition of the floral oil was determined by GC–MS. The most abundant essential oil components were linalool (21.0%), benzyl alcohol (18.4%), α-terpineol (13.3%), trans-methyl isoeugenol (12.6%) and trans-isoeugenol (8.8%).
