Popis: | Three-color resonance Ionization mass spectrometry (RIMS) measurements of sputtered Ti have been carried out on several oxides containing both Ti and (isobarically interfering) Ca in order to evaluate microbeam RIMS as a tool for isotopic analyses of meteoritic samples. The elemental selectivities of Ti over Ca, all measured at saturating laser Intensities, are in the range of 100 {+-} 20 to 500 {+-} 150, with the largest selectivity obtained In hibonite. We have also carried out experiments on TiO{sub 2} and Ti metal. 39 refs., 7 figs., 2 tabs. |
