Popis: | Vection describes the sensation of ego-motion induced by the moving visual stimuli that cover a large part of the visual field. Within the present study, the parameters of optokinetic nystagmus were matched with vection and visual induced simulator sickness. Vection was evoked by the rotating optokinetic drum with black and white stripes in the CAVE virtual reality system. It has been found that the slow phases of nystagmus were longer during the vection. It is suggested that increase in the durations of slow phases of the nystagmus revealed the beginning of simulator sickness and vection. |
