Popis:	Reaction of vinylmagnesium bromide with quinolizidine-1-one yielded a mixture of two stereoisomeric 1-hydroxy-1-vinylquinolizidine systems (III and IV). Structural assignments of the latter are based upon infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectral data. Attempts to transform the vinyl alcohols into 5-azasteroids were unsuccessful.
