This chapter presents an overview of unconventional superconductors starting with heavy fermion compounds. It is followed by a multiband MgB2 and borocarbides and boronitrides. Borocarbides also exhibit coexistence of superconductivity and long-range magnetism. Noncuprate perovskites are also discussed. A part of the chapter is devoted to a discussion of organic superconductors and fullerenes. A common theme of unconventional superconductivity is unconventional superconducting pairing and structure of the order parameter. Various experimental techniques revealing this unconventional behavior are discussed. A separate part is devoted to a discussion of the coexistence of magnetism and superconductivity. |
