Popis: within the framework of CAMEVAR project, the CAMELINA Operating Group (OG) performed a screening test to validate the suitability of Sentinel-2B satellite family sensing systems and GreenSeeker handheld device to estimate the production of different varieties of Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz trough the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). This agro-environmental monitoring technique allows to follow the evolution of the vigor of the camelina crops and to keep track on the crop during its life cycle. We used this technique to assess and estimate the growing and yield of each one of the varieties before harvesting, and study if they were significant differences that could lead to a prediction in the final seed yield. Statistical results showed that there were significant differences on the NDVI index of each variety and correlation between the acquisition techniques, but there was no correlation between the NDVI index and the final yield of each variety.
