Popis: | Introduction The tumorigenesis of RCC involves both genetic and epigenetic pathways dysregulation. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) serves important roles in cancer formation. Methods In the present study, PVT1 and EGOT relative expression was examined in 30 tissues of ccRCC and the adjacent normal tissues by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results PVT1 upregulation and EGOT downregulation was found in ccRCC tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues. Expression of both lncRNAs was significantly associated with size of the tumor, lymph node involvement, tumor grade and metastasis. Both markers showed negative significant correlation to each other. Conclusion The current results demonstrated that PVT1 and EGOT could serve as potential biomarkers of ccRCC with good performance characteristics. |
