Popis:	Invitation to a Beheading derives much of its narrative and thematic energy from paradoxes attending the abstract categories "in" and "out." The main character's captivity, the novel's weird, crumbling ontology, the narrator's verbal tricks, and the story's ambiguous ending all develop aspects of the proposition that what is in is out, and what is out is in. These contortions inform the novel's plot, its aesthetics, and its treatment of human thought.
