Fatigue is one of the most disabling symptoms in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), affecting 75% to 95% of patients, it interferes with the physical and mental activities of patients and contributes to worsening the difficulties already present, negatively affecting the quality of life. Fatigue can also have a psychological impact. In the Digital Health Technology, Mobile Health (mHealth) appear to be a dominant concept in the field of digital health; various smartphone applications for MS patients are already widespread and over the years this sector has been constantly growing. The adoption of mHealth by persons with MS comprehends a series of advanges but also potential barriers that may inhibit its use. The aim of this review is to report evidence describing the use of smartphone applications as part of the Digital Technologies in the assessment and management of fatigue in MS patients. |
