Popis: | A new form of time-resolved optoacoustics is described. In this method a fast piezoelectric transducer placed within a large chamber is used to detect individual condensation and rarefaction components of the acoustic waves generated by the relaxing gas. This technique has been used to measure the relaxation rates of OCS, SF6, ethyl acetate, and azulene in an argon bath. |
