Popis:	The purpose of this research consists in the elucidation of regional and branch aspects of the water use in the Northern Development Region. The main topics presented in this paper are: 1) resources of surface water and groundwater: 3) regional aspects of water use; 4) dynamics of water use by abstracted sources and by the main usage categories; 5) branch profile of water use and its dynamics.
