Objetivo: Analisar a qualidade de vida de estudantes universitarios de diferentes cursos da area da saude de uma Universidade Publica. Metodo: Estudo quantitativo, descritivo. A amostra, de conveniencia, foi de 251 estudantes universitarios da area da saude de uma Universidade Publica, matriculados e cursando a graduacao no ano de 2017, que nao estavam afastados por motivo de saude e em exercicio de atividades academicas domiciliares. O instrumento utilizado foi o Word Health Organizacional Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) da Organizacao Mundial da Saude (OMS). A analise foi realizada a partir do software Statiscal Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) versao 19. Resultados e Discussoes: Os resultados mostraram um perfil de estudantes predominantemente do sexo feminino (89,6%); na faixa etaria de 20 a 24 anos (67,7%), pardas (49,8%); solteiras (94,8%), sem filhos (98,4%), com renda familiar de 1 a 3 salarios minimos (31,9%), que cursavam fisioterapia (29,5%). Com relacao a autopercepcao de sua qualidade de vida, 54% dos estudantes responderam que era boa. Os dominios do WHOQOL-bref com maiores escores foram os de relacoes sociais (63,44%, DP=18,45) e o dominio psicologico (56,67%, DP=11,93), enquanto os dominios com menores escores foram o do ambiente (50%, DP= 15,73) e o dominio fisico (48,46%, DP= 10,98). Conclusoes: Ainda que a maioria dos estudantes tenham apresentado boa qualidade de vida, os escores dos dominios meio ambiente e fisico foram identificados como negativos. Assim, aponta-se a necessidade de politicas publicas dedicadas as praticas academicas mais saudaveis, que fomentem uma melhor qualidade de vida para o estudante na universidade. ABSTRACT Objective: To analyse the quality of life of undergraduate students of faculty of health sciences in a public university. Methods: This is a descriptive and quantitative study. A convenience sample of two hundred fifty one undergraduate students participated. They were recruited from a public university, enrolled and currently studying during the year of 2017, they were not away from the university due to health care problems and not either studying at home, only. The instrument Word Health Organizacional Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) from the World Health Organization was used, and the data analysis was performed using the Statiscal Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 19. Results and Discussions: The findings showed a gender profile of students mainly females (89,6%); ages ranging from 20 to 24 years old, (67,7%), brown color 49,8%); single (94,8%), with no children (98,4%), income average between 1 to 3 minimum wage (31,9%), and that were physiotherapy students (29,5%). Self-perception of the quality of life was reported as good by 54% of the students. The domains with the highest scores of WHOQOL-bref were social relationships (63,44%, DP=18,45), and psychological (56,67%, DP=11,93) while the lowests were the Environment (50%, DP= 15,73), and physical (48,46%, DP= 10,98). Conclusion: Despite the majority of the students have had self-reported good quality of life, the scores of the domains physical and environment were identified as negative result. Public policies addressing healthy academic interventions for the students need to be develop at the university to improve a better quality of life for the students. Key-words : University.
