Popis: The paper presents an application of the fractional scaling procedure in the modeling of specific power loss in soft magnetic materials. The scaling of power loss is examined for Co-based amorphous alloy, Fe-based nanocrystalline alloys, non-oriented steel 6.5% Si-Fe and permalloy 50% Ni-Fe. Using the proposed scaling procedure, the data collapse of loss measurements onto a single curve is achieved. The scaling procedure is next used in the modeling of specific power loss. Modeled loss curves correspond well with measurements for all samples. The results confirm the utility of the fractional scaling procedure in the power loss modeling.
