This paper presents a hierarchical Production planning and scheduling strategy which combined Al ( artificial intelligence) with OR (operation research). Taking an iron-steel industry system for example, the paper builds the whole model of all the workshops in the system. The model involves not only the mathematical model but also production rules because many factors can't be quantitative. An-Al based hierarchical decomposition method of large scale system is presented to solve the model, the size of which is very large and has many qualitative factors. Numerical results conclude the paper. |
