Popis:	Prolongation techniques are used to derive a linear deformation problem for self‐dual spherically symmetric solutions of the SU(2) Yang–Mills equations. Backlund transformations are then obtained which generate solutions to these equations. We use the transformations to generate some new solutions to the equations.
