The problem of water availability in the coastal areas of Gunungkidul Regency has long been a strategic environmental issue. The characteristics of the coastal regions in Gunungkidul Regency are mostly in the form of karst areas. The characteristics of the karst that are difficult to store water and coupled with the increased development in Gunungkidul regency, make the coastal area in the Gunungkidul Regency vulnerable to the availability of clean water. The method used is the ecosystem services approach using two proxies, namely landform and land cover. Each representative that delineated is then assessed or weighted. A ground check were conducted to ensure the expected appearance. Overlay of two representative after weighting will produce a map of ecosystem services of clean water providers. The results obtained are that the research area is dominated by clean water supply ecosystem services with medium class 17,411 Ha or 53.38% and low class 15,204 Ha or 46.62%. In water management and flood control services, it found that the Medium class is 11,099 Ha or 34.03% and the low class is 21,516 Ha or 65.97%. |
