Popis: | The physical consideration, taken as a starting point, has been based on the change of duration of each wave half-cycle by the superposition of a current. The Keulegan-Carpenter number could reflect that feature if the wave plus current velocity replaces the wave velocity as the reference velocity. It is also argued that the ratio of current to wave velocity is a more appropriate parameter than the reduced velocity. The modified Keulegan-Carpenter numbers separate different observed flow regimes in a coherent manner in drag coefficient and current-to-wave velocity plane. |
