Popis: | The equilibrium properties and the mass transfer rates in an amphoteric, thermally regenerable resin, Amberlite XD-2, were studied. The equilibrium resin capacity for sodium chloride adsorption is strongly influenced by temperature, solute concentration, and pH of the aqueous solution. The kinetic study was carried out with repeated temperature cycling, either sinusoidal or square wave. A surface resistance model represents the rate data better than another model based on pore diffusion |
