Popis: | Atmospheric-pressure ionization (API) is an important ionization technique for the study of atmospheric pressure and components, such as contaminants in air. From analytical point-of-view, API is even more important as it enabled the reliable on-line combination of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, via the techniques of electrospray ionization, atmospheric-pressure chemical ionization and photoionization. Principles, instrumentation and some applications of API are briefly outlined in this article. |
