| Popis: | MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned by Bellway Homes Limited (Northern Home Countries), to undertake an archaeological trial trench evaluation at High Street, Edlesborough. Twelve trenches were excavated of which six contained archaeological features. The majority comprised drainage features associated with the disused moat on the eastern edge of the site. A single boundary ditch was identified as well as several postholes indicating a former fence line. Examination of the topsoil and subsoil bulk revealed post-medieval and modern material across the whole site. |
