Popis:	This paper discusses the application of a hierarchical iterative optimisation algorithm, bidding and negotiation, to the solution of dynamic job scheduling in a multiple workstation production environment. The production environment is assumed to consist of a number of distributed processing workstations which carry out manufacturing operations on components transported from a central distribution station. Components could arrive at the distribution station at variable intervals in unknown amounts.
