Popis: The firing delay time, the rise time of the current up to its maximum, and the primary current amplitude of a controlled discharge in a vacuum gap are considered, for a voltage range of 10–80 kV, with a residual gas pressure in the chamber of 10−4–10−5 mm of mercury. The gap is switched by a damped oscillatory current pulse with a frequency of 1.25 Mc and a maximum amplitude of about 150 kA. The discharge is started by either one or three triggering devices.
