This article presents a study on the use and development of teaching strategies by undergraduate and graduate students of education programs. Objectives. To know which are the teaching strategies that undergraduate and graduate students in educational programs privilege in their practice, to compare and identify differences in the teaching strategies that undergraduate and graduate students in educational programs apply, and to analyze the influence of undergraduate and graduate training on the types of learning strategies used. Methodology. The research methodology was descriptive, quantitative in four Colombian universities in which a non-probabilistic opportunity sampling was carried out (n = 148). The Teaching Strategies for Significant Learning Scale (EEDAS) by Méndez y González (2011) was administered for data collection. Results. The results show a moderate to high use of these strategies, being the synoptic table the least used and the analogy the most used. The data also indicate that there are no significant changes between undergraduate and graduate students in the use of teaching strategies. The results suggest an interest in intensifying the acquisition of teaching strategies and the convenience of articulating an undergraduate and graduate curricular plan to support this. |
