Popis: A change of government implies, almost always, a change of national curriculum, after all, it is through it that the nation project of a ruler in power is imposed. But, as the article will try to show, this curricular change is not only done to meet the aspirations of a national state, but to supranational agencies. The curriculum, then, ceases to be a national construction, simply to meet international demands. It is important to stress in advance that the curriculum is a dynamic process that accompanies the transformations that society undergoes in all its spheres: social, political, cultural or economic, since all are influenced and influence in the curriculum, interfering greatly in the teaching and learning process. This text has as main objective to present some conceptions of curriculum, in view of its social role as instrument of education that is done in the school institution.
