Calla lily is one of the more cut flower cultivated on the southern region of Minas Gerais, and is an excellent alternative of production for subsistence agriculture. However, there are few researches on the nutritional requirement in calla lily plants. Thus, the objective of the study was to evaluate the use of different levels of cattle manure combined with mineral fertilizer on the growth and production of inflorescences of calla lily. The experiment comprised twelve treatments consisting of four levels of NPK 10:10:10 (0, 150, 250 and 350 kg 1000m-2) combined with three rates of cattle manure (0, 20 and 40 L m-2), distributed in factorial 4 x 3 according to the randomized block scheme, with four replications. It was assessed plant height, number, width and length of leaves, number of inflorescences, stem length, spathe width and length and fresh weight of inflorescences. The best result was obtained with 350 kg 1000m-2 of 10:10:10 NPK combined with 40 L m-2 of manure. This treatment provided greater number of inflorescences on plants of calla lily. |
